## Getting started
Option 1: Fastest way to start it to use one of the "Starter Kits" provided. The Starter Kits come with 40 common topics already pre-defined, and you can start practicing your language skills right away.
Option 2: The more advanced way is to create your own "wordlist", where you can define the vocabulary (topics, words, phrases, sentences) that you want to be the foundation and the starting point of the exercises. Then with MyLexilingo you will get truly personalized interactive material.
### How to create your own personalized wordlist (your own material)
- Creating a wordlist is easy. [Use our template to get started!](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19EOpgGoIFF3jpr24gl9thiy0EaWraDFcikqsFNp2yuE/copy) All you need is a Google Sheet with three columns:
- The first column is the "category" or the "topic" of the words or sentences. It can be called anything you want.
- The second column should contain the words or sentences in the language you are learning. The title (the first row) should be the name of the language in English.
- The third column should contain the corresponding words or sentences in your language. The title of the column (the first row) should be the name of your language in English.
- You can use as many rows as you want. You can also have empty rows if it helps you structure your content better.
- MyLexilingo uses only the first three columns of your wordlist. The rest can be used for your personal notes, for example.
- You can use the " / " symbol to provide multiple alternative translations for a word or sentence in one or both languages.
- Finally, you need to make your Google sheet public so that MyLexilingo can access it. To do that, click on the "Share" button in the top right corner of the sheet and make sure that the option "Anyone with the link" is checked.
That's it! Now just paste the link from your browser's address bar in the box above and click "Load wordlist".
_Note: when using the "Share" button in the top right corner in Google Sheets, only the first sheet in the document will be loaded._
